What is the history of the property?
Villa Ammende's colourful history reaches back to year 1904. The villa got its name from the Ammende family who built it following the latest fashion trends of the time, and inhabited it for nearly a quarter of the century until they had to sell it to the city of Pärnu because of debts.

What was the era and/or the architectural style in which the property was built?
Villa Ammende is the best example of the early art nouveau in Estonia and also one of the three art nouveau hotels in the world.

Has restoration work taken place?
The restoration works started in 1997 and finished in 1999. The concept behind the restoration project was to create an atmosphere of a rich merchant’s family house.

Has the property received any certifications for its historical status?
The facade of our building together with villa’s interior elements, the fence and even the trees of the park are all listed under national heritage protection.
