Country House Taking Steps Towards SustainabilityThis property is certified as Carbon Negative and has been powered completely by renewable energy (hydro, solar, biomass) since 2013. It features extensive insulation, rainwater harvesting for toilet flushing and allotment watering, and a biological sewage system filtered by a reed bed. The guesthouse uses upcycled furniture, eco-friendly cleaning products, and sources 80% of its supplies locally, including Fairtrade tea and coffee. It also provides three electric car charging points and holds a Gold award in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
