Oaks The Entrance Waterfront Suites is a comfortable and quiet hotel known for its central location and striking views. Guests have praised the clean rooms and professional, friendly staff. The staff's politeness and helpfulness stand out, creating positive impressions. The hotel's facilities, including the hot tub, are appreciated, although some feel the need for additional handrails around the pool and spa.
On the downside, several reviews indicate that the hotel is quite dated. The decor, carpets and fixtures appear old and worn and there are complaints about stains and a lack of maintenance. The bathrooms, in particular, seem outmoded with some describing them as reminiscent of styles from forty years ago. Despite being marketed as a four-star property, many guests feel it falls short of that standard, suggesting it’s not priced appropriately for the level of service and amenities offered.
The hotel does not feature any on-site restaurants, which some visitors found inconvenient. While the location is central and near attractions like parks, a water park and shops, some guests mentioned that the general state of the property could use significant updates and renovation. Overall, the good value for money and lovely views make Oaks The Entrance Waterfront Suites a decent option, but those seeking true four-star luxury might want to consider other accommodations.

Seaside Garden Hotel receives glowing praise for its prime location, making it an ideal base for beachgoers, shoppers and event attendees. Guests commend the hotel's beautifully serene surroundings which feature garden views, playgrounds and extensive parking facilities. The accommodation is also pet-friendly with many appreciating the well-thought-out amenities for pets. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and scenic balcony views further enhance the retreat-like atmosphere.
However, the breakfast service is notably lacking with guests consistently reporting the absence of basic breakfast amenities and room service options. Additionally, the rooms, while roomy and fitted with essentials like soap, tea, coffee and milk, suffer from inconsistent maintenance. Issues include dated furnishings, mold in showers, unpleasant odors and occasional cleanliness lapses that could be significantly improved for better guest satisfaction.
Despite these drawbacks, the staff receive high marks for their friendliness and accommodating nature. Guests laud the staff's efforts in ensuring a welcoming and hassle-free stay with flexible check-ins and prompt assistance. The warm and helpful attitudes of the reception team contribute positively to the overall guest experience.
The outdoor amenities, particularly the pool and tennis courts, are celebrated features. Guests enjoy the clean, family-friendly pool area and the well-maintained tennis facilities, which provide ample entertainment for both adults and children. The presence of other sports amenities like ping pong tables further adds to the family-friendly atmosphere.
For families, the property offers large rooms and plenty of kid-friendly activities. The big garden, fish ponds and spacious layout are frequent highlights mentioned by guests. The pet-friendly environment with secure gardens and designated pet areas is also a major plus for those traveling with dogs.
While bed comfort is somewhat of a mixed bag with some guests finding them satisfactory and others citing issues like hard mattresses and bed bugs, the overall serene and accommodating environment of Seaside Garden Hotel makes it an attractive option for families, pet owners and leisure travelers.

The Clan Terrigal has received mixed reviews from guests. While it is rated as a four-star hotel, many have noted that the property feels dated and in need of renovation. Specifically, the rooms and decor could use a refresh to meet contemporary standards. Despite these observations, some positive aspects stand out, such as the nice breakfast and good hot water pressure in the bathroom. However, at times the pricing, particularly on busy weekends, has been considered inflated for the overall level of comfort and amenities provided. Lakes Resort offers a range of accommodations, including a well-received four-bedroom, two-bathroom option that caters effectively to large families. The resort is recognized as a family-friendly destination with varying levels of comfort and it is noted for offering good value for money and good quality food at its restaurant, Vue Avocat. The scenic views of the nearby mountains, lake, beach and marina are highlights for many guests. However, the resort has received criticism for not meeting four-star expectations and being overpriced for the level of comfort provided. Continental breakfast is mentioned but might not meet all guests' expectations.
