Akelada Hotel has been working hard over the past 10 years to create one of Thailand most Green and sustainable Hotel, where we support the hotel from food produced under the supervision of Team of skillful gardeners.

Safety Agri Buriram project by Akelada Hotel is the integrated farm that aims to follow the SMART concept i.e. the Science of King Rama the 9th (of Thailand) Ecological Farming System. This concept involves well designed cropping system: paddy field, vegetables and fruits, efficient water management of the farm, organic base as well as applying appropriate technologies along with the local wisdom into the farming system. The organic farm project located behinds the property which cover area around 40 acres.

The goal we aim to achieve “Security to all stakeholders’’. And they are our farmers, customers and environment, suppliers, management and all relevant parties. Through the “Smart Farm Hub”, SAB @ Akelada can help any small farmers and partners in the area. Thai farmers to adopt sustainable agricultural practice or organic farming in order to bring about better well-beings for both farmers and consumers.

“From farm to fork” concept has been introduced for our “Akelada Restaurant’s new menu where authentic Dishes will be cooked in the old traditional style using organic herbs, vegetables, rice and fruits from our own farm, all carefully looked after through a green and sustainable organic concept. Having a healthy produce helps us all enjoy a fresh meal with no harmful chemicals.

Akelada hotel adopts green hotel practices, which positively impact environmental sustainability. The practices include saving energy, reducing water consumption, and waste management. Guests are encouraged to reuse their towels, and the savings from laundry costs are reinvested into planting trees in our organic farm. We use eco-friendly products for our guest rooms. Drinking water is served in glass bottles instead of plastic bottles. The recent initiative of giving the guest small trees can help us move closer to the carbon Neutrality goal in 2035.

All green hotel practices and giving small trees to guests can make them aware of how profound climate change issues are and how everyone can take part and be responsible for achieving environmental sustainability. Our hotel hopes that our hotel-guest experiences during their stay can make them become responsible tourists.
