The pool area at MDS Hotel Concepción has received a mix of reviews, though several positive aspects stand out. Many guests appreciated the clean and well-maintained facilities, including the heated pool and jacuzzi. The pool's temperature, however, seemed inconsistent; while some enjoyed the warmth, others found it somewhat cold. The spacious terrace and nice views added to the overall appeal.

The setup, integrating a pool, jacuzzi and spa, was often highlighted as convenient and enjoyable, helping foster a family-friendly atmosphere. Notably, a few reviews applauded the pool for being clean and offering lovely vistas. However, some guests mentioned the pool area was too small and at times overcrowded. Moreover, the limited and strict pool schedule disappointed several visitors. Maintenance issues also led to frustration with the pool being unavailable on certain days.

The pool facilities at MDS Hotel Chillan receive mixed feedback from guests but showcase some standout features. The hotel boasts multiple pools, including an indoor heated pool on the 9th floor, which is notably enjoyable and offers great views. The outdoor pool is well-designed, featuring rock and water flow elements that many guests appreciated. Families particularly benefitted from a children's pool, a wave pool and slides, making it an excellent spot for kids.

However, there are consistent issues with the heated pool, including it being closed in the mornings, frequently under maintenance or not adequately heated. A number of guests found the water temperature too cold for comfort. Additionally, the schedule and access to the pools were seen as restrictive and there were occasional problems with cleanliness and availability of towels.

Despite the occasional setbacks, when operational, the pool area is a highlight for many visitors. The convenience of having both indoor and outdoor options, as well as additional amenities like a jacuzzi and spa facilities, adds to the hotel's appeal. The surroundings and overall setup of the pool areas make them a pleasant place to relax and enjoy, especially for families with children.
