However, during our visit, we found out that the Childs pool was under refurbishment and all indoor pools were unavailable. Despite this, we were able to enjoy a lovely swimming experience in the heated indoor pool. The bigger pool, though, was not heated. The swimming pool and staff were very helpful and we were also able to take advantage of the supervised outdoor pool, animal handling and other great facilities like the gym, sauna and steam rooms. The Aztec pools were also a huge hit with our group as they were well-maintained and had polite staff both in reception and poolside. The pool area, however, lacked enough sun loungers and we had to wait for a long time to order food in the pool bar due to a terrible ordering system. Nonetheless, we were able to eat in the restaurant by the pool a lot and enjoyed the lovely pool, the raised lounge area above it and the other positive amenities. All in all, the TLH Carlton Hotel and Spa is a great complex with exceptional pools and facilities, but it's best to check beforehand the availability of the pools and the ordering system in the pool bar.
