Park Inn by Radisson, Salt Lake City-Midvale offers a pool and jacuzzi area that guests have mixed feelings about. Visitors appreciated the availability of towels and noted that the pool and hot tub were generally considered nice when well-maintained. However, some guests did encounter issues with cleanliness and maintenance, including reports of a dirty pool, subpar sauna conditions and excessive chlorine. While several guests enjoyed the pool, others experienced disappointment due to it being temporarily unavailable or not properly cleaned. Despite these occasional problems, the pool area contributes positively to the hotel's overall atmosphere.

Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Discovery Inn in Salt Lake City garners favorable reviews primarily for its superb location, making it an excellent choice for travelers seeking convenience and accessibility. Its proximity to a variety of restaurants, essential services and entertainment options such as the Sandy Amphitheater, coupled with easy access to the freeway and TRAX light rail system, enhances its appeal. The secure, fenced parking area and the quiet surroundings further contribute to a restful stay for guests.
Staff at Discovery Inn are frequently praised for their friendliness, helpfulness and accommodating nature. The check-in process is often described as pleasant and the professional demeanor of both the front desk personnel and managers adds to a positive guest experience.
However, the hotel falls short in a few key areas. The absence of an on-site breakfast, despite being advertised, is consistently noted as a significant drawback. Although the hotel provides a 10% off coupon for a nearby café as a substitute, it doesn’t seem to fully meet guest expectations.
The rooms present a mixed experience; while some guests find them newly updated, clean and comfortable, others report significant cleanliness issues including dirty sheets, unclean showers and the presence of smoke in non-smoking rooms. Concerns were raised about outdated decor and missing amenities like coffee makers and hair dryers.
Cleanliness appears to be an inconsistent aspect of the guest experience as well with several reviews highlighting well-maintained and bug-free rooms, but others pointing to unclean bathrooms, dirty floors and general neglect around the property. These issues detract from the overall lodging experience for some.
In terms of bedding, while many guests found the beds comfortable and praised the quality of the mattresses, reports of dirty beds, stained sheets and bedbugs raise serious hygiene concerns.
In summary, Discovery Inn excels in location and staff service but needs notable improvements in cleanliness and breakfast offerings to consistently meet guest expectations.

At 'Crystal Inn Hotel & Suites - Midvalley', the indoor pool and hot tub seem to be a hit with guests, who frequently praise their cleanliness and well-maintained condition. Visitors consistently describe the pool area as a pleasant and enjoyable surprise, providing a refreshing and relaxing environment after a long day. The pools and jacuzzi are noted for being of a relatively large size, which makes them comfortable and enjoyable for both adults and children. Some guests appreciate the presence of a salt-water base, adding a unique touch to their swimming experience. Even though the pool is not the largest considering the hotel's size, guests find it adequate and enjoyable, particularly for families, as the kids seem to love it. There have been instances when the pool was under renovation, but overall, guests find the pool and hot tub facilities a delightful part of their stay at this hotel.
