A collection of 9 historic buildings ranging in age from 1790-1920. The entire city block was originally owned by Kenneth Dow (son of the original owners of Dow Chemical)

Spanish colonial (1st and 2nd periods)

Located in the center of the Historic district.
Has restoration work taken place?
Yes the property was completely restored in 2017 when it was converted from a museum into a luxury Inn.
Are there any elements of particular historical importance at the building?
Original Coquina walls.
Are there any important guests or previous owners worth mentioning?
Price Mural (nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte) and his wife (grand niece of George Washington ) lived here,
Also Mark Twain, Sinclair Lewis, and Ralph Waldo Emerson stayed here.
Are there any significant events that took place at the property in the past?
In 1865 the Union Army sent soldiers to NE Florida who gathered up the local slaves and read them the Emancipation Proclamation. They then rang "the Freedom Bell" with is still located on the property.
