Historic HotelInitially constructed in 1852, the hotel was known as The Railway Hotel, and later on as the Great Southern Hotel, before becoming known as Hotel Meyrick, the name it still retain until today. Despite its name changes, the hotel always strove to provide the most luxurious and high quality accommodation for every guest, while it even accommodated Prince Louis Napoleon of France in 1857. During WWI, the hotel was occupied by the British Army.
