Resort Taking Steps Towards SustainabilityAwaroa Lodge is located within 20 hectares of regenerating native bush and wetlands, actively working on wetland regeneration. It is committed to reducing energy consumption, uses low-energy appliances, and staff live on-site to minimize transport. The lodge utilizes eco-friendly personal care and cleaning products from ecostore, a certified B Corp, which are plant and mineral-based, suitable for grey water systems, and provided in refillable bottles. They also aim to support local producers and grow their own produce to reduce waste. The lodge uses natural materials in its construction to blend with the environment and operates with state-of-the-art solar systems. They have bio-active, self-contained sewerage and wastewater processing, and all rubbish is taken out of the park for recycling.
