The Kingsbury Colombo boasts an amazing pool area with fantastic views of the Fort and new Port City. The super clean swimming pool is a highlight for many guests, though some have mentioned that the pool area lacked effective shade. There is a restaurant located by the pool, which is a nice touch for guests looking to relax and enjoy a meal. However, the restaurant can become crowded at times, especially with wedding guests every night. The outside area for food and drinks near the pool is also a great facility. The atmosphere by the pool is generally lively with music playing and occasional fun pool parties. The pool side bar and eating area are also brilliant, though some guests have mentioned that the bar and restaurant service can be slow. Overall, The Kingsbury Colombo provides a wonderful pool experience, though it can become crowded at times.

Summary of reviews related to the 'Pool' category

Summarized by AI

The pool at Shangri-La Colombo hotel is the main highlight and a fantastic leisure facility according to guest reviews. The outdoor pool on the 5th floor was particularly praised for its beautiful design, water jets and water lounges. The pool lifeguard, Sures, impressed guests with his professionalism and attentiveness. The pool area was described as charming and inviting, a perfect place to relax despite the hotel's city location. Guests had free access to the sauna and jacuzzi, while others mentioned other leisure facilities, such as a steam room and gym. However, the pool bar service left some guests waiting too long and there were complaints of smoking in the pool area. The only downside of the pool was its small size compared to other hotels. Overall, guests found the pool area to be lovely, magnificent and a perfect place to unwind.
