The hotel's location is ideal for those who want to stay close to the town centre while enjoying a peaceful atmosphere, thanks to being located just outside the hustle and bustle. Additionally, some guests have commented on the convenience of the hotel's on-site parking. There is a variety of choices alongside the classic full English breakfast, including continental options. The food is of excellent quality and cooked to perfection. However, some guests experienced long wait times for their breakfast and some of the requested options were not available. Despite a few negative experiences, the majority of guests enjoyed the lovely, fresh and tasty breakfast options provided at the hotel.

Dinner

The Lion & Pheasant Hotel serves up a delicious dinner that has impressed our guests. The evening meal was described as fabulous and the food was superb for both breakfast and dinner. The restaurant is highly recommended with exceptional and first-class food. Even the wine bar and tapas had a really nice vibe and great service. Sunday lunch and great meals are also available. Guests were pleasantly surprised by the clean food that is even better than London. One guest had dinner at the Balti house across the road, but overall, the restaurant food was amazing. The chef and waiter were excellent and the staff in general were great. However, some guests would have liked to know in advance that dinner was not available on certain occasions. Regardless, the Lion & Pheasant Hotel is a nice hotel with a lovely restaurant that serves very nice evening meals.

Although some guests found their rooms to be small or lacking in amenities, the majority of guests were pleased with their accommodations. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the hotel was kept clean and tidy. Overall, guests recommend the Lion & Pheasant Hotel for travelers looking for comfortable and well-decorated rooms in a quirky and charming setting.

From the charming and helpful receptionist who greeted us upon arrival to the attentive and polite waitstaff who served us at breakfast, every member of the team was warm and welcoming. The young, immature staff in the restaurant left a bit to be desired, but their pleasant attitudes made up for any shortcomings. We were especially impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the hotel's management and the level of service throughout our stay was nothing short of brilliant. The quality of food was exceptional and the spacious, comfortable rooms were made all the more enjoyable by the friendly, accommodating staff. We were always greeted each morning by friendly and professional staff who were attentive to our every need and the warm welcome we received from Matt upon arrival set the tone for a fantastic stay. All in all, the Lion & Pheasant Hotel is a fantastic choice for those looking for an amazing hotel experience with super friendly and helpful staff.
