The temperature-controlled infinity pool offers a zen view of the South China Sea with a nice breeze. The active pool has a fun slide while other pools have fountains and water jet features. Despite being a big property, the pools are not too busy and one can enjoy a refreshing swim almost alone. The swimming pool area needs better cleaning and maintenance, but the different pools are very clean. However, some swimming pools were closed during some time of visitors' stay. Though the pool bar only offers soft drinks, there are plenty of restaurants and bars on the property. Guests can also enjoy the private beach, which has calm waters for children to swim safely. The hotel provides swimming rings for guests and the pools are well-designed with ample space, shade and comfortable sun loungers. Though towels may be hard to come by at times, the hotel provides complimentary drinks at the pools and beach. The fitness center has professional yoga mats that are mostly unused by guests. Overall, the pools at Mandarin Oriental, Sanya offer an amazing experience and the hotel is well-maintained and beautiful.
